1961 GMC c10
No portfolio would be complete without the classic “for you dad” build. This GMC is Pop’s truck. Built to be a reliable and comfortable driver, this truck is based on a GMT400 C1500 chassis. It even retained the 1989 stepside bed. The “knee knocker” cab and front end are from a ‘61 GMC and the hog-nose hood was swapped out for a ‘63 GMC hood. The 454/TH400 drivetrain was pulled from a motorhome and runs a TBI serpentine drive. The bodylines from the cab were carried back to the bed and fleetside tail lights were grafted into the stepside. A seamless style rollpan keeps the back looking sleek. The center mount halo fog lights in the front bumper were another subtle touch. The 18” smoothies and baby-moon hubcaps finish off the overall look consistent with the intent of modern performance executed with classic styling.
