1949 Chevy

Despite its humble appearance, this beefy old farm-truck was built to boogie. It’s powered by an LS based 408ci stroker motor paired to a TH400 trans. The Fitech Ultimate LS standalone system kept the wiring nice and simple. The smoothed firewall and sheetmetal intake keep the engine bay looking clean. The fenderwell headers were custom fabbed, as well as front disc brake conversion. Turns out, big companies haven’t felt a need to offer kits for these old heavy truck I-beam axles. Front calipers, rotors, and dually adapters from a 90’s dodge 3500 were modified to fit the original front axle. The rear axle is a dually 14 bolt pulled from a square-body Chevy. The dump-bed with removable headache rack and side rails was built from scratch. The hydraulic ram is run by an electric hydraulic pump that hides neatly under the cab.
