1939 Lincoln Zephyr
Few kustoms are more iconic than the Lincoln Zephyr. Long, low, and beautifully swept, it's almost as if the designers used a pinstriping brush rather than a pencil. While keeping a lot of the original aesthetic, this Zephyr was built to exaggerate the original styling and greatly improve the drivability. Drivetrain is a simple and reliable 327ci/TH350 combo. The chassis was custom fabricated using the base ingredients of a Fat Man Fabrication Mustang ii front end, and stretched set of Fat Man 1940 Ford framerails. The rear-end is a parallel four link with a Ford 9” rear axle. A full custom floor was built so that the body could be channeled 4”. The roof was chopped until it was “just right” so who really knows how much. The windshield originated from a 1938 Chevy. The dark metallic purple makes it look ominous in the dark, but highlights the curves in the light.
